Bendigo Theatre Company Volunteer Showcase Coordinator

Are you passionate about the performing arts and bringing people together through creativity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised volunteer to lead the planning and delivery of our Showcase events.

This exciting role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing events, working with diverse groups of people, and creating memorable experiences for performers and audiences alike.

About the Role

Bendigo Theatre Company is fortunate to have multitude of talented individuals in our membership. In Winter & Summer each year, BTC offers our membership the opportunity to showcase a variety of these talents in a showcase event including song, dance, comedy & instrumental. The Showcase Coordinator will oversee all aspects of this event, ensuring a successful and enjoyable experience for participants, volunteers and audiences. You will work closely with performers, volunteers and BTC Committee members to bring the showcase to life.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, coordinate and manage all event logistics

* Entice performances from our membership to create an event of sufficient variety

* Liaise with performers, production team members and BTC Committee

* Develop and maintain an event schedule, rehearsal timetable and performance program

* Recruit, coordinate and support volunteers

* Manage venue bookings, equipment requirements and backstage operations

* Liaise with BTC Marketing subcommittee to coordinate marketing and promotional activities across print, digital, and social media platforms

* Monitor event budget and maintain accurate records

* Ensure compliance with health, safety and accessibility requirements

* Provide on-the-day leadership to ensure smooth event delivery

About You

* Good organisational and project management skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

* Experience coordinating events, community programs, or arts initiatives

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

* Confidence working with performers and volunteers

* Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

* Passion for theatre, the arts and community engagement
