It takes a village to bring three or more major productions to life each year, and behind every show is a team of dedicated volunteers working their magic offstage.

Our performers may shine under the lights, but they cannot step onstage without costumes. That is where our wonderful Sewing Team comes in. This talented group of seamsters and seamstresses works alongside each show’s Costume Designer or Costume Coordinator to create, alter, and care for the costumes that help bring characters to life.

Meeting as needed throughout the rehearsal period, our Sewing Team might be pattern making one week, fitting and altering the next, creating costumes from scratch, or simply giving our enormous costume collection a little TLC. Whether you are highly experienced or confidently handy with a needle and thread, there is a place for you in our team.

There is nothing quite like seeing something you have made appear on the big stage, and even better is sharing the process with a welcoming group of creative, like minded people.
